Can you check if you can test the card in a different system to verify if the problem is the card?
Did you try the eraser?
Check if you can test the card in a different system or unplug one memory module to see if one of the memory modules is defective.
We are using the reference design PCB, so it is compatible if you use an aftermarket cooler.
Hi,
Are you overclocking your system? If you are, see if you can default your mainboard BIOS settings and see if you have any problems.
Check when you install the graphics driver if you can turn off your system anti-virus. Sometimes this can cause issues.
How is your system temperature? Can you check if you have any dust issues?
Do you have a pencil eraser? If you do, unplug your graphic card and erase the gold finger on both sides. This will improve the graphics card connectivity to the PCI-E slot.
Cheers.
Hi Carsten,
You cannot get two 4K displays from a single DP port. The MST Hub split the bandwidth on 4 ports and the maximum on each does not reach 5 Gbps or 1080p. A DP port has a maximum bandwidth of 21.6 Gbps, a 4K signal reaches almost this bandwidth.
To get two 4K displays running you require to have two individual DP ports from a graphics card or a supported device.
Hi Rokas,
Unfortunately you cannot get the fan replacement in a shop if you want to get the original cooler. Your alternative is to get an aftermarket cooler. Artic Cooling, NZXT are some known brands you can get.
Did you check your system power? The 350W power might not be sufficient for your system. What is the power on the Intel PC?
Hi MacSan,
Can you do the following?
If you have already Windows installed in your system, please insert the old card and once you boot into windows, go to device manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
Once you do this, shutdown the system and unplug the power, press the power on button for a few seconds to drain the power.
Install now the new card and see if everything is working. Also good to reset the Samsung SD590 screen.
Regards
Thanks again for your feedback.
Hi,
I think it probably is the MST that could be defective in this case. Please exchange it for a new one.
Kind regards
Hi,
We have notice this behaviour only with PC’s that has a mainboard older than 5 years and we believe is the BIOS that is causing this.
On a Mac is the first time we hear this.
Thanks for the very good feedback. Noted.
Hi,
If the second DP port of the card connected directly to the monitors does not work either the driver or our windows installation is providing issues. There is also a possibility that graphics card is having issues.
As the MST Hub is a portable device, please check if you can have it tested in a different system.
Based on your feedback, it should work.
Kind regards
Can you turn off the Boot logo or re-flash the Boot logo again?
Can you check if the cables are properly attached to the display card and the screen? If problem persist, can you check if you can test the card in a different system to verify if the card is the problem?
Thanks.
