Welcome.
Unfortunately that is not possible. The fan lowest setting will be at 20% and you will need to set them manually.
If you are working on apps that are not very demanding you could use this setting but if you launch a game or use a heavy application remember that the manual control will not speed up the fan which in turn it can crash your system.
Cheers.
Send the serial number on the email mentioned earlier. BIOS differ based on the model and serial.
Thanks.
Can you provide us the serial number and the model? Please send it to [email protected]
Please go to settings, display and arrangement. You should have a mirror option below, check if that is marked. If yes uncheck that and you should be good
Q1.
The Dual Link DVI adapter requires external power source as the DP source is not sufficient.
Yes, it is a real active adapter as it sources the power direct from the DP port.
Q3
Yes you can
Q2
AMD Eyefinity has been always linked to use the DP port. The only problem that this represents is that most users do not have DP displays and if you want to configure 3 displays, users have to use an active adapter of any source for their displays.
With the introduction of the new GCN architecture on the R7 and R9 series, AMD made this easier by using the two DVI and HDMI ports to configure 3 displays.
The only exception on the R7 and R9 series are the R7 260, 265 and R9 280 and 280X cannot support this feature as they still use the older architecture even though it has been classified as R7 and R9 Series.
AMD product advisory text on Tonga (aka R9 285) “Highlight for you in bold text”
AMD is pleased to share early information of a new performance ASIC variant, code name “Tonga”. The Tonga ASIC takes gaming to the next level, incorporating an improved and refined Graphics Core Next architecture, more advanced PowerTune power management, improved display connection flexibility, and enthusiast-level gaming performance.
In addition to the new architecture, the Tonga GPU supports the latest industry standards and is ready for Windows 8.1 with an architecture designed for DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.4 and OpenCL 1.2. The Tonga GPU fully supports resolution up to UltraHD (4Kx2K) over both DisplayPort and HDMI interfaces, supports up to six independent concurrent displays, and supports three of those displays to be driven from DVI/HDMI. Tonga will support Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7.
The Tonga GPU is a PCI Express 3.0 compliant product. It supports a 16-lane PCI Express 3.0 bus interface for high-bandwidth applications. It is based on 28nm process technology, and is a RoHS compliant and Halogen Free ASIC.

Please remove the USB Graphics adapter.
1. Go to your applications folder and click displaylink folder, use the displaylink software uninstaller
2. Proceed to remove the drivers
3. Please re install the drivers version 2.3
4. Plug in the USB Graphics and connect the display
If you keep having issues choose a different USB port.
Hi,
Q1
In regards to the fourth display not been detected, have you tried the other remaining ports? Have you swapped the adapters to verify if the adapter is the problem?
Always make sure as well that Windows remains up to date and also make sure that your mainboard BIOS is up to date.
Q2
Yes, you can use both cards without the DP port to power 6 screens. The R7 260X and R9 285 and 290 series can power 3 displays without the need of the DP port.

I have checked and the RMA number given to you is from our distributor, therefore we will await news from our distributor.

I think the size will be 12288×4320 if you arrange it as 3×2.
Your monitors are ok for the HD 7850 Eyefinity 6.
I have never tried excel at those resolutions so it is hard for me to say heheh..
In regards to SLS means Single Large Surface which you create a single desktop out of multiple displays. Same as you describe the 1 big screen/desktop and yes, your mouse should behave in the same manner as you are using a single desktop.
There are no stupid questions when it comes to a heavy investment as you mention.
We are here to help.
I will check with the rma department tomorrow
Yes I know. The only videos we have is the 7870
Hi,
You can use on all displays the maximum resolution supported. In our case if it is 1920x1080p then you can get 6 without issues.
If you want to create an Eyefinity 6 by creating a SLS panel at 5760×2160 that is not a problem either, that is one of the best selling features of this card.
Now the maximum resolution on each DP port is 4096×2160 at 60Hz thanks for to the DisplayPort™ 1.2 specification so in theory you can arrange each display at this resolution. The main problem with this resolution is that it might not be appropriate for some applications that require heavy use of the GPU as the array of multiple displays at 4K it might create an issue on performance.
We have made some videos on our youtube channel for Eyefinity 6 cards which you can see;
Playing 6 simultaneous video streams at 1080p on youtube. This is using the HD 7870 Eyefinity 6.
Playing BF4 with the Radeon R9 290X with the MST Hub, creating an Eyefinity 6 setup.
Testing Windows 8 Beta with Eyefinity 6
We should reply within 48 hours but usually within 24.
