Perhaps first try to clean the driver and all related Graphics Software first before installing new driver. So don’t use update feature. Also please do un-install in Safe Mode so the registry can be cleaned or use program like DDU (DisplayDriver Uninstaller). http://www.wagnardmobile.com/?q=node/103

I mean i like the roll-back solution best, but in case you would need to update drivers … that is worth a try

Yes a MBP Mid 2014 support 4K 60Hz output. So you cna use teh CAC-1170 Adapter to convert that DP output to HDMI2.0.
When connecting to a 4K TV you might need to make a Custom resoluting with timing standard set to CVT-Reduced Blanking (RB) for which you will need  program like SwitchResX …

Most setup with TV work best when making a custom resoltuion in the crimson driver for
3840×2160 p at 60Ha and Timing Standard set to CVT-Reduced-Blanking. 
Also please see if there is an update for the HiSense TV

Hi Catbert and hkscffeak,

It often helps to un-install the graphics driver completely. Especially by using update-feature for drivers, old files remain in the register that could be “in the way”.

Please uninstall the Graphics driver and all related Graphics software like Afterburner/GPU-Z or whatever graphics related software you might have installed.

Best way to remove Driver Software is to boot Windows in Safe mode, so the registry can also be cleaned.

When you system does not allow you to do that, you can also use a program like DDU to remove such software:

When done please download and install latest driver for your card yourself here for your card (don’t let Windows or any other auto-installer do that).

I got some feedback from R&D and they state that the Adapter needs to be connected to the TV/Monitor directly. Placing another HUB/Converter in between will most probably disrupt the signal.
Sorry i do not have a better message for you but it will most probably not work with your setup 🙁
