Hello Drosky,
please send an email to [email protected], you can just copy the above message into the email. Support can provide the firmware for you.
Hello tysonflint,
Indeed the CSV-5400 is EOL at Club3D and we replaced it with CSV-6400. This CSV-6400 does not have a separate Power Adapter (USB powered as you already noticed) and is packed in polybag packing in order to make the solution more price attractive.
The chipset inside is the same, so there is no difference there,
Is USB powered a benefit? Price-wise it is yes, not only does it save cost because you don’t have to buy the power adapter, and it is also gets much cheaper in shipping cost due to the fact that both volume and weight is much lower. Added the PolyBag packing instead of Retailbox and we have a considerable price difference. And the best thing is that the specs are indetical due the to fact that the Chipset inside is the same.
Hello jopim,
The Intel NUC D54250WYK has a Haswell i5-4250U cpu with 5000 graphics. This integrated grpahics is not able to output 4K 60Hz unfortunately.
https://ark.intel.com/products/75028/Intel-Core-i5-4250U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2-60-GHz-
The mDP output is a DP 1.2 spec, so 4K 30Hz should work.
Please send an email to [email protected] (you can just copy the above message in the email) and we will provide latest firmware for the adapter … lets start there.
Did you mange to get it working ?
Please send an email to [email protected], if there is a Firmware Update for this product available, my colleagues at Supprot will be able to provide.
You can just copy above messagein an email and please add what screen you are using (Brand/Type).
Hello uberstu,
Sorry to hear this.
In general
Setups with TV’s normally work best by making a custom resolution, 3840*2160 at 60 Hz with Timing Standard set to CVT-RB (Reduced Blanking).
(For setups with Monitors Timing Standard can remain on “auto”.)
On most TV’s you will need to do some settings like “Enhanced Mode”/ “PC-Mode” and/or “UHD Color” for the HDMI 2.0 port in use.
Please make sure the HDMI port of the Screen/TV supports 4K 60 Hz, often not all HDMI inputs support that.
Please make the HDMI Cable you are using, can do 4K 60Hz / 18Gbps.
Also the Graphics Driver can have quite a big impact on the result you get with such a setup.
Using the upgrade feature to update Graphics drivers can cause issues, because old files can remain in the registry of windows and can be “in the way”.
Please make a new clean driver installation to make sure that part is ok.
Please uninstall the current Graphics driver and all related Graphics software like Afterburner/GPU-Z or whatever graphics related software you might have installed.
Best way to remove Driver Software is to boot Windows in Safe mode, so the registry can also be cleaned.
If your system does not allow you to do that, you can also use a program like DDU to remove such software: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Also, please manually delete the AMD Folder from your C drive.
When done, reboot and manually download and install latest available driver for your Card (don’t let any auto installer do that).
We have delivered all the CAC-2070 with the latest available firmware, so that part is ok.
Kind regards
thanks a lot
could you please send us you DX Diag to [email protected]
You can just type “DXDIAG” in the search function of windows and the Direct X Diagnostics will open and run, please safe the info and send it over.
Does the 4:4:4 work in 4K 60Hz 8bpc work without the Receiver in between?
Looking forward to your feedback.
Hello Sota,
You should be able to set the YCbCr to 4:4:4 in 4K 60Hz, only the bpc then needs to go to 8bpc, other wise the signal getss bigger than HDMI 2.0 has bandwidth for. But htat you do not get the option is odd.indeed.
Please copy and paste the above messag ein an email and send to [email protected] and they will send you the latest firmware, certainly worth a try.
Hi BrendanOG,
That is very odd. We do not get such error here on any of the screens we tested. We will forward the issue to our tech-team adn get back to you asap.
Could you please send us your DX DIAG?

Hello MagMan1979,
The CAC-2504 does have a different chipset than CAC-1504, however, the cAC-1504 should work on a MAC Pro.
You already have the latest firmware on the CAC-1504, os that is ok.

To be able to generate such a Custom Resolution you will need an app like SwitchResX since MAC OS does not provide such settings.
Should be something like this, please do make sure to have it set to “CVT-RB”

Does the system recognize the CAC-1508 when you connect it to the USB C port, like other USB devices ?
