Hi Supay,
Wow 3 x 5K Screen 🙂
Theoretically you should be able to do that, i mean looking at the bandwidth side of it.
However although i did not test this, i am quite sure that it won’t run in a proper manner. An HD7850 GPU does not have enough processing power for this …
To be able to run (games for instance)
in 2560x1440p 60Hz in a propper manner you would need a R9 390
in 3840x2160p 60Hz in a proper manner you would need something like R9 Nano / Fury X
So to run 3 times 5120×2880 60Hz i would advise to use 3 x an R9 Fury X Card.
Hi Brandon,
In the factory test are being done with at least 24 different configurations and we ourselves also test in our office, however there are always more screens and Graphics solutions in the market or coming out, than we are able to test up front …
I cannot help you with your screens since i have no experience with those, you will need to check with Asus on that one ..

Hi There,
No problem to lace a third party cooler without the warranty be voided. As long as the card is not damaged, you’ll be fine. Whenever you would need to warrant the card, just place back the original cooler first.

Hi Maia,
Assuming you have a Intel i5-4288U CPU in your MBP with HD5100 integrated graphics, i doubt if that will work. According to Intel Specs it cannot output higher resolution on DO output than this: 3200×2000 @ 60Hz

Hi Brandon,
That’s the latest firmware. And firmware of the screens perhaps ?
I mean that seems to be the only thin we did not check on :-S
I am somewhat pleased to hear the issue does not come from the Club3D MST Hub however sincerely sorry to hear you could not resolve the issue you encountered.
Thank’s a lot for the feedback
Don’t get me wrong, we take all issue seriously and will most certainly look at all feedback we receive, so thanks for that.
Hi There,
I do know that on some Dell Screens you need to enable DP1.2 Mode manually in the settings of the screen because factory default that would be set to disable.
I have heard of MST Hubs needing a power recycle before screens showing a picture again, mainly after coming out of sleep mode on systems … not found a remedy for that yet. You should be able to just hit the reset button on the back of the hub and “normally” your setup should be back on track.Â
I have not heard of a faulty MST Hub that does work like yours, so i don’t think that is it.Â
Can you not make a preset of your preferred settings in that Nvidia Software so your systems knows what settings to go back to or manually start that with 1 click ?
i can think of 2 things that can cause an issue.
1 = Bandwidth, a DP1.2 output has 21.6Gbps of bandwidth.
A screen at 2560×1600 60Hz in 16Bits color takes 13.27Gbps
A screen at 2560×1440 60Hz in 16Bits color takes already 11.94Gbps
OTgether that will be more thatn you have bandwidth available. My advise would be to lower the color depth to 12Bit than it should fit (19.61 Gbps in total).

2 Sometimes you need to activate DP1.2 in Dell Screens …
By default the Dell monitors are not enabled with this feature.
You may need to reconnect the DisplayPort cable after making this change.
Hope it helps …
Rev: A0-2.1 FW: 0.45 1507 is still the latest available firmware :-S
Hi Denovo,
WHich Screens do you have (type nrs.) and how are those connected (DVI/HDMI/VGA?)
Hi broiler010,
When choosing 3840×2160 at 60HZ 4:4:4 the color depth need to go down to 8Bit otherwise the signal gets bigger than what HDMI2.0 has bandwidth for (18Gbps)…
In 4:2:2 the max color depth is 12Bit and in 4:2:0 you should be able to do 16bit
Hi Iianfoneill,
Assuming the system is outputting 4:4:4 that means when choosing 3840×2160 at 60Hz the color depth needs to go down to 8Bit otherwise the signal get too big for HDMI2.0.
Not sure if that Intel Graphics Software will allow you to do so standard. I do hear about little apps that let you make and overwrite the standard settings … did not test with that myself (yet).
