CAC-1070 Sound problem

Hi,

Recentlly i bought this adapter to connect my Nvidia GTX 1080 to an Onkyo 626 AV Reciever, but i only manage to get stereo sound. With the hdmi cable i have 5.1 sound. I need to connect acroos de displayport output because i need the hdmi connection for another porpouse.

And other problem i have sound cuts at any time playing music, internet videos o videos form my computer.

It is any solution to get 5.1 and hd sounds across this adapter? and for the sound cuts?

(sorry for my bad english, i´m from spain)

What mainboard are you using?
Maybe you can output the audio by spdif/optical..

please make sure to turn off all the scaling options the Receiver might have.
Please check if the HDMI Cable is HDMI2.0 / 18Gbps capable. The fact that it does 5.1 sounds over HDMI1.4 does not mean it also can doe 18Gbps …
