CAC-1080 rev a

I frequently use the CAC-1080 for professional multi-monitor installation projects.

Recently, I noticed that newly purchased CAC-1080 adapters have an additional “Rev.A” label attached to them.

When I used these Rev.A units alongside older CAC-1080 adapters, I observed slight differences in color reproduction and brightness between displays.

To investigate further, I analyzed the output signal from the Rev.A units using an HDMI analyzer. The results indicated that the lower 4 bits of the video data appear to be missing. In addition, I observed significant jitter on the TMDS clock. Depending on the monitor being used, this can lead to frequent blackouts or signal instability.

Because of these findings, I am beginning to wonder whether these Rev.A units might differ from the original product design, or potentially even be counterfeit products.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with CAC-1080 adapters marked “Rev.A”?

Any information about hardware revisions, firmware changes, or manufacturing differences would be greatly appreciated.

I found this article on CAC-1080 Rev A quite technical but interesting because it focuses on how revision-based hardware or system updates can significantly improve stability, compatibility, and overall performance. The way it explained the differences introduced in “Rev A” made it clear that even small hardware or firmware revisions can solve hidden issues, enhance efficiency, and extend device reliability over time. I also liked how it emphasized careful documentation, since tracking revisions properly is crucial for troubleshooting and long-term maintenance. It also reminded me of PlayPelis APK, where consistent updates and refinements help keep the platform smooth and user-friendly for everyone. I personally think revision improvements are often underrated, even though they can make a huge difference in real-world performance. Do you think most users actually pay attention to hardware revisions like Rev A, or do they only notice changes when something stops working?

Thank you for your reply.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

At the moment, I am mainly trying to determine whether the “Rev.A” units differ technically from earlier CAC-1080 versions, and whether anyone has experienced similar signal quality or stability issues.
