Will the CAC-1153 mini displayport to hdmi adapter work with the Macbook Pro 2011/2013?

I need it to do 1080p at 72Hz.

Ok it did work perfect. Finally. I tried the Apple cable and a third party cable both did not work at higher resolutions. The Apple DVI cable did other strange stuff.

Good to hear.
There are indeed many different Adapter Cables. Even Active ones do sometimes not support Eyefinity or no higher resolution than 1080p at 60Hz. Mostly depends on the (quality of the) Chip that is used inside the Adapter, but often very difficult to impossible, to find any info on that :-S
