CSV-1564W65 – Ports not working

We have several CSV-1564W65 in use that show some issues from time to time.

We are using different Notebooks (Fujitsu Lifebook A-Series, E-Series and Microsoft Surface), but we seem to have similar issues with 3 different docks.

Sometimes the displays are not connected, sometimes USB Peripherals are not connected, sometimes LAN is not working.
The issue can be solved by power cycling the docking station, but this is very frustrating for the customer.

Sometimes everything is working as expected in the morning. Then at some point the customer disconnects the laptop and goes for a meeting, comes back, connects the USB-C and is now facing issues.
Sometimes the issues start after the Laptop was shut down and restarted.

It is a very confusing issue for us. We have several types of Club3d Universal Docks in use, but it seems only CSV-1564W65 is showing those issues.

Any ideas what to look for?

Thanks in Advance. BR
Marc

Sometimes there are powersaving settings enabled on USB ports from the source (laptops). Could you check and disable those?

We changed settings up a bit, but still facing various issues in seemingly random order.
The most annoying at the moment is that the external display is shown in Windows settings, but we are not able to get any image on the screen (Windows settings are correct – extend or mirror).

In some cases it helped to turn the cable, so that the 90° plug is plugged into the notebook, but that really makes no sense to me.

We checked multiple docks (same model) and multiple cables with a Microsoft Surface as well as a Fujitsu Lifebook E Series and both seem to face the same issues.

Even after changing up the energy settings the issues persist.

Today I was able to solve this issue in one particular case by switching off and on the display and reconecting the docking station.
In this case it was a simple IIyama 24″ Full-HD Display connected via DP – DP.

Are there any special requirements for the docking station or DP / HDMI cabling?
