Faulty graficcard ? Drops of frames in games

Motherboard MSI Z77A-GD65
Ram Kingston Beast 2400mhz
HD 500 gb Samsung EVO 840 SSD
PSU EVGA 850 80 plus gold
Club3D 295×2
2k monitor
Windows 8 pro 64bit
Amd Omega (14.12) driver
All is watercooled and temp are very low cpu is never over 50c and GPU is max 60 after 1 hour furmark

I play alot of Battlefield 4 and i have tried both Mantle and DirectX, i tried alot of different settings, but all the same on every map i play i have major slowdowns have 130 fps and suddenly it drops to 1-2 frames for 5-10 sec. I tried another games alot DragonAge Inqusition and its the same.

I tried running furmark for an hour and there is framedrops there aswell small ones and every 10 mins or so large ones…

Is my card faulty or what ???

Hi, 
Are you overclocking your system? If yes, can you save your BIOS setup and then go to default to see if there is any changes?
Check if you can fully deinstall the catalyst driver and download the latest Beta 14.11.2 and see if you experience any changes.

i’ll give it a try, i got a similar computer that have win7 gonna try put it in that aswell, and if its the same i guess its faulty…

Ok now i tried everything…

I put my card in another pc running windows 7 running all at stock speeds and, there i dont have slowdowns there it just make a BSOD, im sure it got enough voltage coz its a corsair 1000w, i got 2 older 7970 cards and they work perfectly in both machines.

I tried with some other ram aswell.

Should i RMA the card or what.. ???

Can you check one last thing? Do you have the BIOS in UEFI mode fast boot?

on my MSI card yes there is a fast boot think, not sure if its on or off, would could that do ??

It’s disabled both msi fast boot and fast boot in bios

and now i installed win8 on my win7 machine and thats is also the same, i tried with a few different drivers aswell  14,9, 14,11 beta, 14.12, 15 beta.

I think i can come to the conclusion that it have to be faulty… im abit sorry that i wanted to try “team RED” after i was soooo happy with my nvidia card gtx 780, in the same machine and not at single problem or crash or anything…. i so much wanna have a pair of 980 instead of this… 🙁

Your RMA department should have it by now, the reseller should have send it wednesday.., i really hope that it wont take long, its hard to play without a decent card:)

Im really looking forward to get my or a new card…. i just recieved my 40″ 4k monitor, how do i connect it to the 295×2 so can get 4k at 60 hertz, the monitor have displayport mini and displayport, what would you suggest ??

The only way to get 4K at 60hz is with the displayport output on the 295X2.

Hi again, im still waiting for new my card could you check up i got this rma number 78902 that the shop have from the distributor, i really need the new card soon… im all naked without my card and with BF hardline coming tomorrow and going to LAN next weekend, it really sucks being without a card

We cannot control the distributor RMA process and logistics, therefore the best option is to ask them on the status. We truly apologize that you might miss the LAN in case you do not get the card back on time.
