Hi Function,
Just checked on test system with a 280X and 18.8.1 driver and indeed the driver did not show chroma settings. We will require to do some more testing to find out where that comes from …
We jsut have ahd another IWN Update, perhaps that this had influence …
Could you please send your DXDIAG to [email protected]?
(just type “DXDIAG” in the search function of windows and the Direct X Diagnostics will open and run, please safe the info and send it over)
did you try making a custom resolution in the AMD Driver?
And which version driver are you using ?
Good day Finction,
Yes the adapter also supports Chroma Settings, but the setting for that will need to be done in the Graphics Driver.
Here’s waht the adapter can do:

Often that works best by making a custom resolution, which will “over-write” the automatic system settings …
Hi mm71, please send an email to [email protected],
then they will send it to you right away.
Ok good to hear and thanks for the feedback
Hi mm71,
Sorry to hear this and no we did not hear thise before yet.
Waht firmware is installed on your CAC-1170 ?
Good day Jimbo123,
That would mainly depend on the capabilities of your laptop i would think.
Active adapters like CAC-1507 / CAC-1517 are sensitive to other active devices like for instance docking stations, but if there is no other active adapter/cable/docking is in use … then the issue must come from the laptop.
Please try setting the Screen connected via the adapter as primairy, and then connet the HDMI screen … see if that helps.
Which laptop you have (brand/type/CPU/Graphics)?
Good day MajorMetal,
I am very sorry to inform you that we do not have any spare parts anymore.
We stopped selling Graphics Cards end 2015 and since then are completely focussed on High Quality Connectivity Products.
Good day DeanRoseblum,
Sorry to hear this.
My guess would be it is a conflict between the Docking Station and MST Hub.
Active Devices like and MST Hub often are quite sesitive for other active devices like Docking Stations…
Can you try the MST Hub directly connected tot he Source System please, to make sure the MST Hub is functioning ok ?
By the way what system do you have (Brand/Type/CPU/Graphics/OS)?
Please keep your eye out for Graphics driver updates for Linux because i am quite sure that is where the issue comes from 🙁
Hi Eric,
Sorry for the late reply.
Please send an email to [email protected] for latest firmware for the adapter.
Thanks
It sounds like the system is not recognizing the Screens EDID at boot when connected via the adapter.
Normally making such a custom resolution will fix that problem, because you are effectively overwriting the system settings (or whatever the system thinks is good).
You don’t get the option at all to choose 50 or 60 Hz while making custom resolution ?
Sorry about this, can you please send an email to [email protected] …
i cannot check your email 🙁
Good day Steo,
I will tell [email protected] to send you an email with latest firmware,
looking forward to your feedback.
I am sure that PS186 will be extensively tested if that did not happen already …
