Thanks for the feedback
I do not knwo any different than you would need DP1.4 support for conversion from Dp to HDMI 2.0 with HDR support.
CAC-1080 and CAC-1180 are such adapters with HDR support
CAC-2504 also has the sme chips inside and is a USB C to HDMI 2.0b adapter, however we dont sell it as such since we do not know of any Source System with USB C output that can support HDR.
Yes there is, the CAC-2504 supports HDR, it has the same chip inside as the CAC-1080 and CAC-1180,. We dont sell it as such since we do not knwo of any source system that supports HDR over USB C … but if you say that your system does support it … the CAC-2504 is the Adapter for you 🙂
Great 🙂
Thanks for the feedback
Hi Joeoboe,
I will have [email protected]Â send yo an email with latest firmware.
Good day Roberto,Â
We will check with technicians if they already tested with 10.13.5.
Did Apple have any update on this issue?
Hi camargo009,
Do you really think that me hooking it up to a normal 1080p TV with 1.4a instead of 2.0 could have broken the cable?
No
The only 2 reasons why the Updater program wuold give the error “No graphic card found” is when the adapter is not connected to the Graphics Card with Screen connecte dto the Adapter and turned on. Or when you system has Dual Graphics and the updater program gets “confused” becuase it detects different graphics in the system.
Please check in the Bios on the mainboard if the Integrated Graphics is disabled, if not please do so.
Did the clean Driver installation not make any difference?
Good day camargo009,
Sorry to hear this.
It can of course be that the cable is defective in which cas you should warranty form the place of purchase.
Iw ill have [email protected]Â send you an email with frimware for the cable in case it is not already loaded on the Cable Adapter.
Good day Oskar,
MST is a feature integrated in DisplayPort version 1.2 and newer.
So no that will not work over USB.
As for the CAC-1477, this Adapter can generate 2 video outputs but is not able to offer them to a single output, so thaat will also not work.
Sorry
What system do you have?
Good day Joeoboe,
That “8 Channel Audio data” is in the first EDID Block that aparently is blocked.
Since this does not happen with other graphics (intel Integrated or AMD) it looks like an Nvidia issue.
Did you already try with a 390 driver (the 391 drivers will not help, we tested those already and seem not very stable).?
Please also check for Bios update for the GTX 1080.
Good day aznyouth,
Most notebooks do not support more than 3 screens in total, including its own. So please check that.
An MST Hub will not change that, because it uses the Video Streams made by the system.
The only work around for that is to use External Grpahcis adapter like
CSV-1474 or CSV-1477
Those have a Displaylink Chip inside and also have driver software for Ubuntu …
http://www.displaylink.com/downloads
Yes, so the CSV-6400 can handle 4 x 1080p at 60Hz for sure.
For this to work, the source system needs to have a DP1.2 output (or newer) and of course support for MST.
Hello,
Not sure we have ever tested CAC-1504 with oculus rift, Will check with PM on htat and let you know.
Good day Grimm,
Most Notebooks do not support more than 3 screens in total, meaning its own plus 2 extra. There are a few Notebooks in the market now with descreet grpahics inside that do support more, but it would very much surprize me if your notebook would support 6 screens. This is not an issue with outputs and does not ahv enaything to do with how an MST Hub functions, it is simply a limitation of the GPU inside the source system and/or build in the Notebook.
So please check that with MSI.

Good day,
Since we do not know the cause of you issue we really cannot say for certain that our adapter will solve it. What we can say for certain is that our CAC-1504 adapter is tested on MAC’s and working just fine in 4K 60Hz.
What screen do you have?
What HDMI Cable do you use?
