Hi Ashrafazlan,
Have you tried to make a custom resolution for 3840×2160 at 60Hz with Timing Standard set to CVT-RB (Reduced Blanking). That normally work best for TV’s.
You might need an app like SwitchResX to be able to do those settings on your MAC though..
Hi Lee,
Which OS you had before ? (the one that di not work)
And of course, YEY !
Well that DisplayLink GPU is one of the few in the world that can do 4K 30Hz over USB3.0, and that usually works just fine. Not much help in this case of course for which we are truly sorry. I am still convinced it must be a setting somewhere, it seems impossibe that this Docking works fine in just about all setups but not with your Asus notebook. I mean i have heard of Energy Safe Modes “being in the way” of 3rd party software, so i would always advise to disable all Energy Safe Modes your system and/or Screen(s) have.
What graphical issues you see on the screen ? can you send a screenshot, than we can escalate to R&D at the factory.
Hello xjiegege, please take a picture of the backside of your card and send it to
[email protected] There should be stickers there with ItemCode, SerialNr. and Production Nr. which we need to determine which Bios is best suited for your card.
Best regards
did you try it with Pixel clock at 530 Mhz
pelase check with Vizio for optimal Pixel Clock
Good to hear it is solved
Hi Bar, there is no real limitation to the max length of the cable, as long as it supports enough bandwidth to send that 4K 60Hz signal through. You should be able to check that with the manufacturer of that cable i would think
Good day Bar,
The CAC-1070 / CAC-1170 are capable of converting singal output of DP1.2 into HDMI2.0.
And that should work jsut fine off a R9 280X.
As for the HDMI cable, yes i do think the 26 feet will be an issue. Normally after 3 meter Cables in general build up resistance that they are not capable anymore of 18GBps througput.
However there are of course exeptions to that, but you will need almost full bandwidth available to be able to throuput 4k at 60Hz.
Hello MDobak,
Your Mac Book Pro does support MST Feature and a DP1.2 ouput has a bandwidth of 21.6 Gbps so that is room enough for 2 x 2560×1440 at 60Hz.
The CSV-3203 is basically a USB3.0 Docking Station with a 2 ports MST Hub inside.
With most Dell Screens you will need to manually enable the DP1.2 in the settings of the screen and we advise you to dis-able all Energy Safe modes the screen might support.
Hi DarkSvior, sorry for the delay. Done now
On 5i5RYH tested:
Update Graphics Driver; manually downloaded and installed (don’t let that auto-updater from Intel do that) Intel Graphics Driver pack 15.40.25.4463, which contains DisplayAudio Driver 6.16.00.3197 plus Graphics driver 20.19.15.4463. (suited for most Broadwell HD Graphics).

I got adivse from R&D at factory …
Please uninstall all Displaylink software or any other software you might have installed for the CSV-3103D. Reboot with Docking Dis-connected.
First install latest available software for CSV-3103D and only after that connect the Docking.
Hi Mark,
Cable looks ok to me.
Please make sure your to have set to On for support up to UHD 50P/60P 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 input signals.
Also please make sure the HDMI input you are using is capable of 4K at 60Hz (not laways all the HDMI input are).
It often works best to make a custom resolution so you are able to not only choose 3840×2160 at 60Hz but also set the Timing Standard to CVT-RB. You might need a program like SwitchResX for that.
what pixel clock does SwitchResX show you ?
Sometimes it helps to lower that to 539 Mhz or 533 Mhz depending on the screen.
SwitchResX somtimes doe snot save the custom resolutions which causes it ot use of the ones which were already in switchresx (4k@60hz) but often not in CVT-RB. Then it is best to create a new user in OSX and switchresx before it starts to save the custom resolutions again …
Hi Zerreth,
If I understand you correctly you are trying to use the CAC-1170 to send signal from Sheild HDMI output to Philips TV DP input
The CAC-1070 and CAC-1170 are active adapters able to convert a Displayport1.2 signal into an HDMI 2.0 signal. The adapters are NOT Bi-Directional, so cannot be used to send a HDMI2.0 signal and convert it to DisplayPort 1.2, that will not work.
