I just bought CAC-1080 and noticed that the only audio quality i can choose from windows audio settings is 16bit 48Khz and can’t get YCbCr 444, only 420(8bpc and 10bpc) and 422(8bpc, 10bpc and 12bpc) through nvidia control panel.
GTX 1070(with the displayport 1.4 firmware update) —>CAC-1080—>denon avr x-1400h—->Sony XE90 tv
Using 3 meter premium certified hdmi cables and newest version of windows 10.
So is this normal or could this be fixed maybe with a firmware update?

You should be able to set the YCbCr to 4:4:4 in 4K 60Hz, only the bpc then needs to go to 8bpc, other wise the signal getss bigger than HDMI 2.0 has bandwidth for. But htat you do not get the option is odd.indeed.
Please copy and paste the above messag ein an email and send to [email protected] and they will send you the latest firmware, certainly worth a try.
No luck with the updated firmware, YCbCr444 doesn’t show with 8bpc(even tried lower refresh rate of 30hz) and still stuck with lower quality sound (16bit, 48Khz).
This is odd indeed cause without the adapter(only hdmi cable) i get 444 and all the sound quality options, thinking maybe this is some strange displayport thing, even though it should support both or the adapter doesn’t play nice with the Denon receiver…

You can just type “DXDIAG” in the search function of windows and the Direct X Diagnostics will open and run, please safe the info and send it over.
