CAC-1510 or CAC-1010 to use AMD’s RX 6800 series GPUs with Dual link DVI

Is the CAC-1510 USB-C to Dual Link DVI active adapter compatible with the USB-C port on the new AMD Radeon RX 6800 series GPUs? Allegedly, they use a Cypress CYPD5137-40LQXI USB 3.2 Gen 2 controller with DisplayPort pass-through.

Alternatively, would something like the CAC-1010 DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI active adapter be a safer bet? I am trying to output from DisplayPort or USB-C to a DUAL LINK DVI 2560×1440 60Hz monitor (Korean Crossover 27 inch) with no scaler.

I think your safest bet would be the CAC-1010.

Thanks. Does the CAC-1010 have HDCP?

I believe so yes, but you can request a firmware update from support to turn it either on or off.

How can I request a firmware update from support to turn HDPC either on or off.

Depends what you want. The CAC-1010 is sold with HDCP on. If you want it OFF you need to purchase the CAC-1010 and mail [email protected] afaik
