Good morning,

We have a customer that bought a new Dell latitude 3540 and a CSV-1564W100-CLUB3D USB C UNIVERSAL TRIPLE DOCKING STATION (PD100W) adapter. It was working fine for the fist week or so. but the laptop is giving the following error, flashing lights 1 red & 8 White. when we unplug the Club 3D and give the laptop power through its original charger the flashing lights stop. Is there a driver we need to install?

I can’t find your specific error code (1 red + 8 white led blinking). I would suggest to follow the steps provided by Dell following this YouTube instruction video.

Does this also happen when you use only the Club 3D provided power adapter?

The CSV-1564W100 does not require any drivers as it works over DisplayPort Alt-mode. Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Hi,

We done all the relevant options in video.

The problem is still there, the unit is giving power on its own. After a few days the error pops up agian. We had to supply the customer with a extra Power adapter, but it’s not ideal.

The customer also does not wait for the battery to drain completely before they plug in the Club3D.

I’d suggest to reach out to [email protected] . Maybe they know a solution for the issue.
