Extend on Win 8

Have original Surface tablet windows 8. Using 3 port mst hub. Display to HDMI. Can readily get mirrored display on all three. When I extend, only have choice for 2 displays. The 2nd set of displays are all mirrored. Any ideas to extend across all 4?

Which MST hub are you using? Asking as you are talking about 3 screens first but asks for 4 later. And what Surface model is yours?
