Question about cac-1082 upgrade firmware procedure

Hello there. I have received a new firmware from support email. My bug is that I cannot enable freesync in freesync capable monitor with my new adapter and I would like to test another firmware. But I cannot wait for answer, since I do not understand if my current firmware is older or newer. Is my cac-1082 cable adapter eligible for proceeding to flash this downloaded firmware or I have already something better? I received my adapter at January 2020, the file date stamp in fw folder 28/10/2019. Is it possible that I received a wrong file?

Here is what application says:

Current on-board info:
Puma_2900 (on cut1.4) App: v11.116.052
No CMDB!
New F/W Version: v11.116.009

What would you do in my position? Should I proceed or wait for official email/messenger answer? Thank you!

I did it and perhaps it downgraded? Anyway to get an updated one? I feel weird now. Bad decision, eh?. I do not understand. Is it new or old? How can I know this, help please. Thanks.

Please I want the firmware v11.116.052 shipped with my cac-1082 adapter in January 2020 or even newer, I do not like that v11.116.009. Help me please. It seems like it is bugged I have weird screen distortion when starting up or shutting down my PC.

Thanks. I made contact. They’ve sent me one firmware file more. Just I ought to know a detail.

The lower numbered .009 file is edited at 2019, the higher numbered .052 fw is edited in 2018.

I am so confused. What should I look into and classify it as newer firmware in the end? Any ideas or knowledge about this weird situation? 🙂

You can safely close this question or consider it as solved. Support answered me clearly that .009 file is newer than .052. I will keep it as is. 🙂 Thanks for letting me post here. Bye for now! 🙂

(So any owner of cac-1082 can learn through me that .009 is the latest firmware at the moment)
