thanks for the feedback
Hello ost,
I will ask [email protected] send you an email with latest available firmware.
Combination with GTX 1060 should work.
In general:
Hi edirol,
No that is not the same. The CAC-1070 unfortunately does not support HDR.
Hi glstephens08,
Sorry i was not more clear.
I do not think your notebook can do it, because i could not find any info on it on the Asus website.
To be able to send a video signal over USB C ouput the notebook needs to support Displayport Alt Mode over the USB C port. If that technology is not build in (hardware wise), it will not work. This is not something you can just add later or fix with software.
So please cehck with Asus if the USB output on the notebook support Displayport Alternate Mode.
Hi Woiz,
Sorry but indeed the max supported resolution is 4K 30Hz.
CSV-1560 does not have a GPU inside, so all dat needs to go over that single USB type C Gen 1 port, so I am quite sure that is a bandwidth issue.
There are some interesting devellopments with Displaylink going on. We just started shipping
CSV-1474 for instance. Although I do not see it on the roadmap yet i am quite sure this DisplayLink GPU can also be place into a Docking station … then you would only have to convert USB C to USB A … I think time-frame-wise, by the end of this year you will be able to get your ideal Club3D Docking Solution
Good day glstephens08,
To be able to send a video signal over an USB type C output, this output needs to support Displayport Alternate (Alt) Mode. Please check if the Notebook has such support for the USB C output.
Hi TobiasBinz,
Sorry to hear this.
Sounds like the MST Hub (I assume CSV-5200) is working. I mean on your PC it does give out signals.
* What Notebook do you have ?
* What DP to HDMI Adpaters or Cables are you using ?
Because an MST is an Active device those converter Adpaters or Cables need to passive ones.
Thanks a lot for the feedback
I am hoping for HDMI2.1 …
I am quite sure Club3D did not sell you the cable directly, we are indeed the manufcturer, but other parties can seel this product on Amazone in the UK or even Amaozon itself. Please ckeck your order receipt or invoice, there it should state who you actually bought the product from and should be be able to claim warranty from.
If you ahve any problem with that, by all means let us know so we try to assist.
I have send your findings over to our technicians and asked them if they know …
will feedback as soon as i can ..
Your system with AMD Graphics does see the screen connected ?
thanks for the feedback
very welcome
Hi mrgaolei,
The CAC-1507 is a passive USB C to DP adapter.
To be able to send a video signal over USB C it needs to support Displayport Alternade Mode. This is why this adapter can be passive, because there is no actual signal conversion, more like a gender changer, but then in very High Quality to be able to support such high resolution/frequency.
I do not know what Apple changed causing this not to work anymore, but i do know it does not have anything to with the AMD GPU inside.
Hi cedr1k,
Yes you will need to get the 330Mhz version (CAC-1051), because it suppports higher specs and because the 270mhz version (CAC-1050) is no longer offered by us.
Officially the 1600p at 144Hz is not supported byt he specs but i know from feedback from end-users that it does work. You will need a good quality DVI Cable of course …
