welcome
Hello HellsAngel,
No need for begging, just drop an email to [email protected] and you will get it.
The reason why we do not post the Firmware online is that more often than not, the firmware is not the solution to issue people are having.
I aksed support to send to you, you should receive that today.
GTX680 is kepler based Graphics ? Problem sounds like i have heard from other Nvidia Kepler Based Graphics Card user …
Compatible graphics cards are AMD Radeon HD 5000 series and newer, Nvidia Maxwell GPU (GMxxx coded) based and newer, Intel Haswell CPU’s with Integrated Graphics.
Note: Nivdia GTX750(Ti) are Maxwell based but other GTX700 series is mostly Kepler based, you can see that from the GPU code Maxwell start with “GMxxx” where Kepler is “GKxxx”.
As long as your screen has a HDMI 2.0 input capable of receiving a 4K 60Hz video signal that part should be ok.
As for your system goes I am not sure (not an apple expert) but I would think that in a system where an Nvidia card is already running, it should also be able to take on take a GTX750 (Ti) or newer. Just watch out a bit for the power usage of a new Graphics Card, I mean that your PSU from your system is able to feed that …
Hi DenisDA,
Latest firmware you already have received 11-03-2017 by email from Club3D support. That is the 0x46.
sorry yes thanks
Good day Pierre64,
All CSV-5300A MST Hubs have a reset button. If it does not have one, than it is a CSV-5300 (without the “A”). This is basically the same product functionality wise, but does have a different chipset inside …
Sure i will ask [email protected] to send it to you
it supports upstream and downstream Pwoer Delivery.
So yes Downstream: it can provide power for keyboad/mouse or whatever you connect to the USB Type A port which it drwas form the source. And of course the Docking itself also need (although very little) power.
Upstream; ou can connect the PowerAdapter of the notebook to the Type C port to the docking and the docking to the notebook, this way usiong the docking and feeding the Notebook at the same time.
Hi Gizzmo, sorry but still have not received a solution for you.
Wil lkeep pushing …
That CRU program will overwrite the Intel Graphcis Driver.
Normally just filling in 3840 and 2160 and 60 hz (or 59 Hz) and setting the Pixel Clock from 533 or 539 (whatever it standard value) to 594 Mhz, should be enough.
Good day Jan-Willem,
Sorry to get back to you so late, it took a while before i got feedback form R&D on your question 🙁
According to there findings, when connecting the USB Keyboard ( in your case) and Ehternet Cable first, and than latest the power cable to USB TYpe C, it should work.
When connecting the power cable first, it could lead to issues like you have encountered.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi dafuqHAdsd,
We will have to wait and see the specs of the chipset that will be used before i can answer that one. Normally i would think that 120Hz should most probably not be an issue, however not many converter chips support 144Hz …
Will update as soon as i know more 🙂
Hi Barry, i was checking your Graphics Card and if I am not mistaking this is Tesla based GPU, and these are not compatible with the CAC-1070 / CAC-1170 adapters.
Older GPU technologies then Maxwell are not supported unfortunately 🙁
ah ok.
Well HDR signal is send from the source, not from the TV so that should not be the problem, as long as you dont send HDR enabled content over the adapter.
The only we have not looked at is the Pixel Clock. Sometimes when EDID info is not received/read in a correct manner, the sytem might choose a pixel clock not supported by the screen. Especially with high end screens that can happen because they sometimes support a pixel clock of up to 594 Mhz, where the system might chose a more “standard” frequency of 533 Mhz or something like that.
You can use a program like Custom Resolution Utility (CRU), to check on Pixel Clock Frequency of your screen, You can find that here: http://www.monitortests.com/forum/thread-custom-resolution-utility-cru
In this program you can also make a custom resoution that will overrule the current grpahics driver settign and also chose a pixel clock.
