Hi,

When using my adapter, everything seems to be working perfectly when playing 4k content on my TV. The only issue I am experiencing is when playing lower content. My TV is recognizing that content as 4k.

See attached images. Each image will show the resolution of the content being played (in black box towards bottom) and what my TV thinks it is.

Hardware wise, I am running a Beebox-S 7100U with Windows 10 x64. I have tried both the most up to date intel HD drivers, and the Beta drivers.

I have my Windows resolution configured to be 1920×1080 @ 60hz, then use Kodi which manages the resolution. It is working properly, as it shows the resolution in the movie correctly, and swaps correctly for 4k content.

This happens both when connected directly to HDMI1 port of TV AND when connected to receiver.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Specifically take notice to the third image.

The first is a 3d mvc iso being correctly detected
Second is 4k 60hz being correctly detected
Third is 1080 24hz being detected as 4k
Fourth is 4k 24hz being detected correctly

Did you check if the TV can actually do 1080p at 24Hz ?
I mean that is not a very common frequency nowadays … did you try 1080pat 60Hz as well ?

Best regards

The Beebox-S 7100U seems to have HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2.
Did you try both routes, HDMI directly and Club3D DP-HDMI?
