CSV-5400 Question Regarding 1×4 Outpu

Hi,

I’m looking to set up a video wall using 4 monitors. I need this to work as both 1 large (video wall) screen, or 4 independent screens. In order to achieve this with a CSV-5400 MST Hub, is AMD Eyefinity / Nvidia nView required?

I’m looking to use an Intel NUC device (NUC6i7KYK) to set this up, using DP1.2, but not sure if a 4 screen split is possible without Eyefinity or nView. The card used by this NUC is: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 580.

Any insight or information regarding this will be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Adam

Hi AdamH,

Sorry for the late reply.
AMD Graphics is often a bit easier in use with regards to multi monitor setups than Nvidia is.
Intel Nuc’s however nice they are, will normally not support more than 3 screens to my knowledge, so please check that.
And no you cannot use Eyefinity or Nview on Intel Integrated graphics.
So for a setup with 4 screens i would not go for an Intel NUC.
