Hi Stenakis,
I see, do you get an image on the screen using the adapter? Also your cables, well the connector seems dirty and maybe rusted? I’ve tried this with mine and it also looked like this and it worked. Oddly enough now looking at other mDP it looks the same.
Hi H3ct1c,
Maybe the CAC-2330 would be an option if you are only looking for 1080p 120Hz. (this adapter does not support 4K120Hz.)

Or the CAC-1331 but that doesn’t specify 1080p 120Hz on their site..

I think the limitations are on the HDMI 2.0 port. That only allows a max of 18Gbps. Meaning the max is 4K 60Hz RGB 8Bit.
You want a total of 20.05Gbps with your preferred settings. 4K 60Hz RGB 10 Bits. So the preferred cable you want would be a DisplayPort cable. Your Mac has a mDP 1.2 which can transfer 21.6Gbps. But that is already in use on the screen…
From what I understand from your screen it has a USB-C input. Have you tried that?
Hopefully this helps a bit :).
Hi Stenakis,
Could you describe your issue more specific? For example, what hardware are you using? What doesn’t connect right?
Thank you!
Hi Jefke,
Time difference is a thing…
Anyway, what 4K 144Hz screen did you try to connect?
And did you try to play around with RGB and subsampling settings? I think you should go to 444/RGB and 8Bit.
Did you update the firmware of your 1080TI since 2017?
It could also be possible that you were unlucky and got a faulty cable, that can happen.
Are the displays TVs? If so what model/brand? Why not use DisplayPort if they PC monitors?
What Nvidia drivers are you on? Have you tried roling back to 456.71 ?
Hi!
You could send the support a mail I bet they would be eager to test this setup as the M1 is realy new. [email protected]
What macOS? Which system? What screen? Does it have DP1.4? Is your cable Utra High Speed HDMI? (HDMI2.1)
So many questions :).
Hi Mmutza135,
You could send your question to [email protected] they will help you.
Sounds like you need a firmware update. Do you know what firmware you have?
You might get an awsner from their support by mailing them [email protected]
Do not extend the adapter. Use the adapter directly into your RTX card with a maximum of 3 meters Ultra high speed cable, as advertized. You lose signal if you go over it.VRR is not supported over the adapter however HDR 4K 120Hz is possible.
Maybe the CAC-1589 ? 20 meter
or the CAC-1535 5 meter (non AOC)
Do you think Club-3D sends you the cable directly or via a distributor with stock and a retailer with stock as well? Those 2 might have stock from before the certification. I geuss if you return the cable now and buy it again you will probably get a cable with the wanted stickers on it. They only got certified a few weeks ago hench there is left over stock. Is the cable not working as expected?
Your card is 8 years old. AMD changing the drivers after 8 years is that really intentional misleading text from Club-3D?
Good to read you fixed it tho 🙂
Have you tried 2K 120Hz? The site says it supports 4K60Hz. If that works than 144Hz is takeing up to much bandwith.
