So http://twitter.com/gamentechsales released a new revision with heat dissipation this time. Which is great because the first revision even after the replacement died due to containing all that heat. They’re offering my a free replacement for their new revision which will have several holes for ridding itself of heat. Not sure what they were thinking with the first revision but good to know they’re giving original owners a free replacement. It’s $150 so they are probably keeping the same overall specifications.

One year later… What products for HDMI to DP 4K@60Hz converting are available? What chipsets are the manufacturers using?

I just noticed the Club 3D CAC-1331 HDMI™ to DisplayPort™ 4K60Hz M/F Active Adapter. I’m not sure where to buy it though.
In the second picture, they have the HDMI end connected to a display. That is totally wrong. The first picture showing the PS4, X-Box, and Blu Ray is correct.
Dude, I was thinking they would never release it, but it looks like it’s here 🙂 Or, most probably the product was put into the works but never actually produced or released

I believe there are display port splitters with selectors, somewhere. On another note, what should cause any lag of sorts?

There exist DisplayPort switches or KVMs. The signal is only DisplayPort 1.2 but there also exist DisplayPort 1.4 switches.
Does this cause any lag?
It’s converting pixel by pixel. It’s not doing any scaling or other processing so it doesn’t need to see the entire frame before outputing pixels.

I tried to look at online stores with the adapter in stock. They are all either in Scandinavia or Finland or Latvia or Belgium or the Netherlands . None of them send over to Italy. Did anyone find it anywhere else?

It may be that the adapter works better with a different display?
I purchased the SIIG adapter and updated it’s firmware. Usually when I turn my Xbox one x on I get a black screen, so I start flipping the switches on the adapter (the ones that control the resolution) until I get a signal, after that I return the switches back to 4k of course and it works.
Hi! BDM4065UC/00 + Amazon FireTV 4k + Club3D CAC-1331 : it’s working! Picture quality not bad at all! (I even get 4k from PrimeVideo, I’ll check with DisneyPlus later on, but don’t believe it’s going to work)
