Hi All,

Hello,
I received an email from 3d Club requesting I introduce my self. My name is Brian from Ringwood UK. I had my system built by Chillblast UK at a time when chips could be well overclocked and I am running an i7 3770K o/clocked to 4.7 in a Fractal Design R4 case with an Asus P8Z77-V mobo and a Corsair H100i water cooler, SSD & 32Gb of ram. I originally had two GTX 680s fitted running in SLI and 3 Acer 245HQ 3D monitors configured for DVI dual link surround. Some 2 years down the line decided to upgrade the graphics cards to 980s and got two at a reasonable price from Ebuyer UK, having checked with Nvidia that cards that don’t have more than one DVI D connector can be hooked up via a display port with an active adaptor lead like a Club 3d one.
Despite kind help from Paul with the new graphics in 3d surround, I kept getting problems in the Nvidia control panel with HDCP handshake. This affected the bluray drive and gaming in 3d mode: the latter was the picture not being do good. It may well be just an Nvidia card thing and that AMD cards work fine. I hasten to add it wasn’t just the 3d Club lead but other similar active DVI D dual link to DP adaptors like Dell and Apple that cause the repeater problem that identifies a’ repeater’ present in the system that could affect HDCP, it would appear…I overcame the problem by getting Any DVD HD software and this seems to have resolved the issue especially in respect of blu-ray reproduction using Cyberlink players. Palit the manufacurers of the 980s helped by getting me to update/flash the bios on the cards, but to no avail.
The moral, don’t necessarily listen to Nvidia as they couldn’t help me. If you want 3d surround with the appropriate monitors try and find cards with two DVI D sockets..By the way, I am still using the 3D Club adapter lead!
Regards,
Brian

Hello, I’m Joris from Belgium. 4 years ago I bought the Club 3D HD5870 and I have never ever had any problems with it. The fact that my friend told me Club 3D is a very stable brand was the absolute truth.
I am planning to upgrade to a new computer, and since I’m doing game reviews, level design, modeling, texturing and video rendering I need a beasty computer. I want to have the R9 290X 8GB Royal Ace and since it appears to become out of stock, I will try to do everything to get my hands on a new one, whereever possible. I need that big room of performance for all I do, and I know that only Club 3D is able to give me a warrant that I have had the pleasure to experience for already 4 years now.
I truly hope, that I will be able to find a reseller that still sells the 8GB version (the 295X2 is not an option).
Hi I am Wesley and i am a visual artist based in Bangkok Thailand. Looking to use your products for several projects here. I will post my question in the normal forum. thanks already and looking forward to use your products even more!

Hello Club 3D.
My name is Julian, I love your cards they are beautiful and FAST. I purchased 2 R9 290’s (Royal King version) and I love them. They are paired with an AMD 8150 running at 4.25GHZ and 32 GBs of G skill 1866 RAM on an ASUS 990FX Sabretooth GEN3. My cards have a little switch that is not labeled does it do anything or is it leftover from the 290X?
My second question…. Why is their no badging for your cards? I was excited when the cards went on sale for $350.00 so I bought 2!!! My system is housed in a Cooler Master HAFX which has an FX sticker, a G Skill sticker, an ASUS sticker, and a Corsair sticker. But alas no Club 3D sticker for one of the most powerful components in my build!!! ANYWAY, what does the switch do?
Hi MasterBuilder,
They switch on the card is a Bios Switch. These cards get 2 times the same bios at factory, so if you want to flash one, you don’t have to worry if it goes wrong, just put the switch to to other side and your ready to go again !
We do have some Cas Badges in the house, but you are right, we currently don’t bundle those.
I will suggest to start doing that again, see waht feedback i get 🙂

Hello I’m Craig. I just recently purchased the Displayport to HDMI 2.0 adapter. I am using it on a sapphire r9 290 vapor-x with 4gb of ram. I am using crimson 16.12.1. My current tv is a 52XBR6 1080P@60hz, 8 bit, 4:4:4. Looking to upgrade to a 65KS8000 4K@60hz, 8 bit, 4:4:4. The problem is the refresh rate on the 1080p television appears to be 30hz (website test says 60hz, but it definately does not appear that way) and the colors seem somewhat washed out. When I go back to hdmi (same cable), everything looks normal.
